OUCH 50% more??!!
I know jagua is more expensive than henna... but does it really warrant a 50% mark-up. I know your stall pays your staff more for applying jagua, so I know the mark-up is passed along.. but 50%..?
So far we have charged a 'little' more for jagua when working at events and shows, just to cover the product cost (and the cost of product used to 'fix' smudged jagua body art - we reckon the smudge rate is around 3 smudged jagua tattoos for every 1 smudged henna tattoo ) But when I say a 'little' more I mean we charge:
- the same price for henna / jagua designs that are £2-£5
- we charge an extra £1 for designs from £6-£10
- we charge an extra £2 for designs from £11-£20
- and we charge an extra £5 for any jagua body art that would cost £20 or more in henna
We're even thinking of dropping the extra charge, because we've noticed an increase in clients returning for more when they get jagua. So I think it would cover the extra product cost, just because they'll come back for more the next day (and bring their mates ) We'll give it a go at the next event and see what happens.
